Hitting Golf Balls Around a Tree
NOTE: ANOTHER DRILL IS BELOW. (Keep scrolling down...) What does it help with? This drill will help you hit a fade shot with a 5 or 6 iron around a tree. This is an excellent drill to reinforce the theory of the fade. Hitting the ball around a tree will force you to make a good fade shot.
How to practice, where to practice, when to practice: Do this drill 20 times this week. You might need to try this drill 40 times or more, but what I want you to do is succeed at it 20 times. Find someplace at your practice facility where you can fade a shot around a tree.

Hitting Left to Right Tee Shots
NOTE: ANOTHER DRILL IS BELOW. (Keep scrolling down...) What does it help with? This drill is going to be hitting fades off a tee with the driver. This is the ultimate reinforcement of the technique. The tee box is where you're going to play the fade most often. Remember the steps: 1. Weaken Your Grip 2. Hold on Tight 3. Aim Left 4. Turn your left hip out of the way as quick as possible. 5. And tee the ball low to prevent draws or straight shots.
How to practice, where to practice, when to practice: Again, get your desired result 20 times here. Hit 20 good fades. Don't worry if it takes you 30, 40 or even 60 tries to get 20 good fades. Its the successes that will cement this shot into your muscles' memory. Once you start hitting them, it will be easier and easier to hit it again and again. Succeed at this 20 times this week and see me next week for the draw!
