During this week, you are going to see the difference between the 8 and 9 o'clock follow-through and the 11 o'clock follow-through. When you are faced with a short to medium pitch shot the speed and steepness of the backswing has enough power to propel the golf ball as far as you need to send it. That is why you do not need to follow-through any higher than your left knee.
On the other hand, the 11 o'clock backswing will have a longer follow-through because of the distance the golf ball has to travel. The clubhead will pass the left knee and finish as high as your left shoulder. This week it will all come together and you will begin to pitch with distance control like never before.
