One of the interesting facets for everyone playing the game of golf is the desire to get better. Have you ever walked off of a golf course, after shooting a bad round, and not thought about needing more practice? There isn’t any question that we all feel bad after shooting a high score but what gives us the craving to continue is the ability to improve our golf game. The only sure way to improve your game is through a lot of practice and golf instruction. How many times have you said to yourself ” I’ve really got to go get some lessons.” In today’s world that can even be done with the click of a mouse!
Golf instruction comes in many forms such as private lessons, group lessons, internet lessons or golf schools. Any type you choose will undoubtedly benefit your game. Keep in mind that you do not have to spend thousands of dollars on lessons. Internet golf instruction is by far the most reasonably priced of all and as they say ” you get a lot of bang for your buck”! Internet lessons are filled with valuable information about every imaginable aspect of the game and then some. Some sites also have swing analysis so that you can receive corrective information in real-time. All in all these web-sites are an excellent bargain. In fact, I recommend a subscription to an internet site even if you are actively taking private lessons!
If you play the game of golf and you have never taken a lesson from a qualified golf instructor do not blame anyone but yourself. If your game isn’t what you think it should be you need golf instruction. We all think our game is not what it should be. Jack Nicklaus at the age of 40, after winning countless numbers of major championships, decided to take lessons from Phil Rodgers to improve his short game. The outcome can be measured by his record for total PGA wins which still stands today. (here comes Tiger)!
If you do not think private lessons are affordable then you may want to consider group golf instruction. This is a swell opportunity for you to get plenty of good instruction at very affordable rates. It’s also a very good way to meet future playing partners. The only downside about group golf instruction is when too many questions are asked by the participants, it tends to distract the teacher from the topic/s at hand.
Golf Schools (packages) are a whole different experience. If you have the time and aren’t worried about expense this may be a good choice. Golf packages usually last from two to seven days. They are almost always located at a resort and accomodations are usually part of the fee. These programs include your daily lessons, usually given by well known instructors, a round of golf after each lesson, swing analysis, DVDs and much more. Airfare can sometimes be included in the package price. Some of the packages can run into the thousands of dollars. Rest assured any type of golf instruction you choose will be worthwhile and help you to enjoy this wonderful game called golf.
