Bobby I wrote to you last week speaking of my frustration.
You wrote back with some good calming advice, which I
took to the range and worked on.
Today I played in a fundraising tournament here in Baltimore,
using a straight golf handicap format. I carry a 16 handicap.
The first two holes I bogied bogied. My partner asked
what was going on as it seemed to him that I was really
stiff, taking half swings, but then trying to crush the
ball.
So I sat down, calmed down, and on the next hole tried
to invision not the golf course but the practice range,
and I went through the steps, and concentrated not on
where the ball went but were the golf club went to strike
the ball. All of sudden things began to make sense. I
shot a 77 today, (gross), and had a closet to the pin
on a par three hole. This may not sound like much, but
until today, I considered breaking 90 a good day, and
I have never hit a golf ball close to anything that I
aimed for. My partner wants some of the medicine that
I took on the third hole, I gave him your email and purchasing
information.
Bobby thank you, for giving me the tools to not only
stop a bad round and get some control on the course, but,
well having a reusable commodity that I can use to do
that. As far as I am concerned this was the best money
that I have ever spent. I know that this process is long
from over, but I wanted to know what you have really given
to me. This week I am excited about golf again.
