100 Yd. Sand Shot

I hit my sand wedge from the fairway 100 yds. If I'm in the sand,
do I use an extra club and do i hit it with a descending blow hitting the ball first and keep the club low after impact?

DO you mean for a fairway bunker shot where you can reach the green? YES you are correct.

Still a little confused on this one. If I'm in a fairway bunker 100 yards from the green do i use my 100 yard club or do I use an extra club or two? For this shot, do I hit the ball with a descending blow hitting the ball first?
EX: Last week I was 100 yards for the green in a fairway bunker and used my 110 gap wedge - I hit the ball pretty square but was still short so that's why I'm asking this question.

Got it. The method is to play the ball in the center or back a little and hit down catching the ball first. Because the ball is centered or back a little you should either take the 100 yard club or club up one. If you clubed up one last week it should have gotten there.

Maybe it was into the wind, uphill or you might have caught it a hair heavy.
