Phoenix area. I want a public course with decent prices.....? I want a public course - I don't care if it is a 9 or 18 hole course and I would prefer to not spend a ton of money. I know rates are better durring the summer. Any help would be appreciated.

Try Fiesta Lakes in Mesa. I think it is located around Alma School Rd. and the 60 Fwy. It's kinda posh, but definitely worth the money.

The Wig Wam is a great golf course. A lot of the "Top" of the line courses are cheaper in the summer but you have to play really early in the morning. The heat will kill you.

Go to AZgolf.org and you can go to the directory and search and look at courses all over. They have the rates listed for the courses you might want to play. Another thing would be to ask for a air conditioned cart if you think you need one, some courses have these.
