Bobby,
My question is about a topic in the Draw DVD content. One of the mantras in the DVD is to keep the handle of the club "opposite the belt buckle". If you follow this advice and keep the handle of the club "opposite the belt buckle" and also place the head of the club behind the ball at address -- to me a problem is created.
For short clubs where the ball is placed in the center of the stance, the club handle is perpendicular to the target line -- as I think it should be. But for long clubs, the head of the club is now behind the ball which is positioned in line with the left heel which makes the handle of the club no longer perpendicular to the target line but instead angled towards the target. Is this correct? The pros don't seem to do it this way. So what is the correct way to keep the handle of the club "opposite the belt buckle" and still be able to adjust for different ball placement? Is the club handle supposed to remain perpendicular to the target line or be angled for long clubs? Or is there another recommended address technique?
Thanks,
-Coop
