I recently rec'd the e-mail offer on the simple swing DVD, after having purchased the e version. I noticed on the offer a picture of your back swing with the left arm clearly past parallel and the right arm clearly off of the right side.

This seems contrary to the e instruction I rec'd. Why am I confused?

Love the instructional package by the way. I'm sure it will help.

I do have the "Full Swing" DVD, and the pictured backswing arms position looks good to me. Trying to do different from what I see would bring grief to my game. You mentionned the "Simple Swing" DVD..never heard of it. On the backswing, keeping my left arm parallel to the ground would be OK with a PWedge. I tend to go past parallel starting with a 9 and longer irons. Shot accuracy is what I consider when setting/experimenting my swing mechanics.

P.S. All the Pure Point Golf DVDs featuring Bobby Eldridge as the instructor are worth every penny I pulled out of my piggy bank.

Thanks LB. The dvd offer I mentioned was titled a video version of the e-version of the Simple Swing and had Bobby in a picture with his left arm clearly past parallel and his right arm clearly off of his side...both of which are counter to the instructions provided. It may have in fact been the full swing offer. It does seem however, that there is a disconnect between David's material and Bobby's. I suspect Bobby doesn't believe the SS technique provides enough distance for anyone other than a beginner. I'm hoping he will address it on this forum.

I agree that both of their materials seem great.

As you swing the golf club back the right shoulder turns out of the way to give the golf club a place to swing to on the arc. As the right shoulder turns out of the way, the right arm is folding and the arms are swinging back and up.

If you can swing the golf club back and have the shaft point down the line, that is fine. What is important is that the golf club stays on the path in the backswing. The length is not as important as the path.

I hope this answered your question. Let me know if there is anything else.
