Stright Left Shot

Bobby,

I've been working on information in your "How to hit a Draw" DVD and it has helped as I'm hitting it Stright most of the time with a fade or a draw once in a while and just last night I beat my personal best score in my golf league, but what is happing 6-7 out of 10 times with my driver now is I'm hitting it Stright but to the left. Same thing happens with my longer irons once in a while. I know I must be closing the club face to much but If I try to not close it as much I end up getting fade/slice. Any idea's on what I can do to attempt to fix this?

Just my personal opinion from personal experience.

If you are hitting the ball straight left, the club is comming from the outside and square to its path. If the clubface was a bit open you will hit a fade if is more open it will be a pull slice.

The next time you go out to the practice facility, try this. #1 Make sure your shouders are square or slightly closed to where you are aiming. #2 Check your ball position, it should not be any further forward than your left heel.

I have checked my aligment (useing a club across my sholders as in your video) and my sholders, hips, hand, feet, club face are all amided to the right of the target. I play the ball about 1in maybe a little more inside my left heel.

I've also using a old water bottle with some sand it placed just back and outside the ball determind I am not coming from the outside since I don't hit the water bottle. Maybe I'm wrong here but I don't think I am.

Not sure what else to try.

How far are you placing the bottle? The bottle should not be place farther than three finger's width at 2o'clock.
