topping 3 wood from fairway

g'day from OZ,just a quick question,i have a new set of callaways that i love,i hit my 3 wood great of a tee but when it comes time to hit it off the grass i find i top it a lot or hit realy bad low shots that hardly leave the gruond,i was fitted for my clubs by a pro and hit all my other clubs well,any suggestions?
p.s.i'm using the "simple golf swing"and have two of the dvd's and love this new swing,ive lost 3 shots since starting to use it,i have a very bad back and find the swing very "back friendly"thanks for it!

No excuses, 3 wood off of the fairway is very difficult to get in the air. Try this the next time out. See if you can take a BIT of turf in the downswing. See if you can move some of the turf out from under the ball. If you make the angle a little steeper the ball will go up. Get back with me and let me know if this helped.
