is the feeling you get with the R arm straigthening as if you are throwing the club away from your body (R arm away from the body) or is it more the right arm is straightening out down towards the ball?

also when you have 3 knuckles showing on your left hand this then has your right hand under the club so you have your hands facing each other. When i go to straighten out my right arm it almost feels that the back of my right hand is facing down towards the ground which almost give the sensation when I straighten my right arm that i am backhanding the ground. Are my hands at the right position on top of the backswing where my back of my right hand is facing towards the ground?

You might have over cooked the grip a bit. Try 2 knuckles and let me know if you still feel like you are backing into it.

Bobby,

I'm very interested in Todd's first question which was: "is the feeling you get with the R arm straigthening as if you are throwing the club away from your body (R arm away from the body) or is it more the right arm is straightening out down towards the ball?"

Could you please point me in the right direction?

From the top of the backswing, you have turned the right shoulder out of the way and you have folded the right arm. NOW, you are at cross roads you can turn the right shoulder back down into the ball or you can UNFOLD the right arm. However, you must UNFOLD the right arm on the arc ( path), not outside the path. Let me know if this helped.
