Default chipping grip

Why don't you recommend the putting grip on short chips? It's often used and makes chipping easier, doesn't it?

I believe the putting grip for chipping is great if it works for you. However, I believe the putting grip does not allow the leading edge of the clubface to CHOP into the ground under the golf ball. I believe the putting grip creates to shallow of an angle at impact, great for putting, but not so great for chipping.
