Default Pitching Lesson #2

Bobby, I very much enjoyed the Pitching Lesson #2 instructions, but I was a little baffled by your description of the 8 o'clock backswing technique. You said you could use this shot when the ball is "just off the green." But wouldn't such a shot be characterized as a chip rather than a pitch? Is it just semantics, i.e is it the same shot no matter what you call it?

If 1/3 of the way to the hole is safely on the green it is a chip. If not it is a pitch.
