Default left leading or right leading?

    Bobby,

For right handers: It has been said by some teachers that the golfswing is dominated and controlled by the left arm and hand; the right hand just "hangs along for the ride". Others argue that the golf swing is a "tennis forehand with top spin stroke", therefore is based on a "right side" launch and follow thru...

Please give us your take on the above.

I have spent a life time trying to figure this out. I really believe I have the answer.

If you are right hand dominant and you don't slice the ball you will probably have more success playing the game with the RIGHT hand/arm.

On the other hand if you are left hand dominant and you don't slice the ball you will probably have more success playing the game with the LEFT hand/arm.

If you slice the golf ball you will probably have more success with the TOP SPIN stroke. I believe that is easier done with the right hand/arm.

Let me know if this helped.

Top spin stroke it's really a tennis stroke. It's trajectory its similar to an "inside to inside" golf stroke.
