Default Pulling my driver tee shots

    Hello Bobby,
I bought the “Simple Golf Swing” package about 18 months ago and had real trouble implementing it!!!! Actually stopped trying it for a while but now I understand the concepts better, decided to try again.
Went back to it after a while recently and am starting to hit more solid irons (irons were my main problem). However, I am now pulling most of my driver tee shots to the left, which is costing me heaps of strokes. I play off a 15 handicap, having started on 19, and really feel that I can get down to 10-11 if only I can straighten up my tee shots. Do I simply aim right further and allow for the pull? (I should add that I have been making really good contact with the ball with my “woods”, they just fly directly left off the tee only- not off the fairway)

Any reason why my “woods” might be heading left while the irons are relatively straight?

Also, I am keeping the right elbow tucked in on the backswing and this helps keep the swing plane in line and the left elbow locked as you suggest. Wrists also firm, while rotating my right shoulder around my spine. Is this all I need to think about as I take the Club away, as I have the impression that it keeps me “connected”, without me having to think too much about my shoulders and hands?

I also really have to tell myself not to go past the position where the club is parallel to the ground, as well as to not swing too hard. It is a lot to think about and remember and ask if there a simpler method so I do not have to focus on so many things. My local professional thinks that I pull the club too far around my body after impact, which causes me to “block” shots or hit them “fat”.

Thanks in advance for any assistance given.

#1 First and foremost is to check your ball position, it might be too far forward in your stance. Move it back a ball or two.
#2 If that does not help then I want you to play two rounds of golf gripping the left hand twice as tight as normal on every tee shot.

Get back to me and let me know if this helped.
