    Default Ladies Grip

    1. Hello,
I'm a guy, and my hand is much smaller than most guys, and in fact I've never seen a guy in my whole life with a smaller hand than mine at my age(21). Um.. I've seen girls with hands about the same size as mine or smaller, but many are longer or bigger. It's not that my hand is weak in anyway I think it's just the fingers of mine are kind of short. Although my height is around 5'4 and my weight is only about 120 lbs. My average 7-iron distance is 150+ yards, and I believe I can drive 240-250 yards in good shots.

But I have been pondering for awhile that because my fingers are so short, I've realized it's really not comfortable at all when I'm holding my driver in my grip unlike other clubs. I don't think I feel like I'm in control while swinging through unlike other clubs like irons, hybrids, or even 3 wood.

I've been thinking that it might be because the standard size of the grip on the driver is too big for me since drivers' grips are usually bigger than those of irons or hybrids. Would it be a better idea for me to actually change just the grip of my driver to ladies grip from standard? and if I do, should I make the same changes on all of my other clubs too to be universal in my clubs' grips?

    2. I would like to ask you specifically what kind of a swing speed is ideally needed for a stiff shaft driver. I went to some club store, and checked my swing speed, and it came out to be in the mid 80s, but I'm not sure if that came out to be correct for the distance of 250 or at least 240. Anyways, I'm just not sure how much more distance than 250 I can get out from a reg. shaft, especially if my physique gets any stronger in the future. What are the factors that I should consider for changing from reg. to stiff shaft? and when I do make the change, would changing the standard grip to ladies grip on a stiff shaft driver be not a problem?

First of all make sure you have a ladies grip put on an iron. Not your driver. Try it out first-I know you will love it.

Something might be wrong 80mph and 250 yards, I will look into that for you.
