to achieve hights on a down hill lie
I am a fairly new golfer and having a problem on a par 5 to get the ball up in the air.
My 4th or 5th stroke normally ends up between 60 and 80 yards from the hole. The problem is, that I am on a downhill lie but the green is 35 feet up on a top of a hill. A creek is at the bottom, so many of the balls if I get them over will roll down into the creek.
Within 100 yards is a level area but I can't get enough heights to get the ball on the green.
Any suggestions, about stance , ball position, what club should work best, etc on this difficult hole.
Thanks, Renate'
