Hi Bobby,
I have recently taken up the game of golf, and have had a few lessons from my local pro. When I started I did have a problem with slicing the ball, and my pro got me to adapt to a really strong grip. This helped but as time has now passed I am now hooking the ball with my longer clubs. So I went back to him and he has told me to now swing on a more in to out swing path, which will give me a draw ball flight instead of the hook. I have been persisting with this for about six months now, and on a good day it works well for me. However, on most occassions I find myself still hitting hooks, and pushing the ball(mainly with the shorter clubs). A push slice has even come into the equation when I neglect to release the club in an attempt to swing in to out. Is there anything you can recommend to remedy these inconsistancies. Should I adapt to a more nuetral grip??? Or should I keep persisting with getting the correct swing path to match my strong grip. Thanks in advance.
hi mate i dont understand for the life of me why this guy is telling you to swing in to out with a strong grip this will only result in a block or a hook
do not believe the in to out theory this is only for big slicers of the ball and its only supposed to be a feeling if they actually have a in to out swing thats where the problems start.
i would reccomend you to have a neutral grip and use your normal swing
it sounds to me if you have a strong grip but are hooking it it sounds like your swing is on plane just that the club face is closed at impact so if you tinker with your grip making it weaker and weaker this will reduce your hook
hope this helps

No problems at all. Thanks very much for the input, I appreciate it. Any one else is more than welcome to have their input as well, along with Bobby.
P.S. And I will try the nuetral grip with my current swing. Thanks
