Thread: New driver

Smile New driver

Bobby, I purchased a new driver today, a TaylorMade Burner 10.5 degree with a Medium (Senior) shaft. I am hoping to get increased distance on my drives. My other driver is an 11 degree Golf Smith driver.
Realizing you haven't seen my swing, do you think maybe I made a good decision in buying a popular driver like the TaylorMade?

Thanks!!

Gary,
The Burner is a great driver, the important thing is that you were fit for it. Without seeing your swing or ballflight, it is impossible to tell if the driver will help you achieve optimum flight characteristics (launch, spin, etc). If you are looking to gain distance, you need to make sure that the shaft flex is matched to your swing speed and is affecting launch and spin in a positive way. The loft is also going to affect these things. The Burner is designed to promote high launch and low spin, which is typically going to help distance, so you are on the right track.

As one of the bonuses for your purchase of the Driver DVD, you get lifetime upgrades to the DVD. Send me an email at techsupport@purepointgolf.com and I'll look up your order. As long as I can verify your original purchase, I can send you a link to download the latest version of the Driver DVD.

Thank you.
