    Default straight right arm

I'm not quite sure I understand the meaning of straighting out your right arm so soon as possible in the downswing (to avoid a slice). Isn't there more power in a bent right arm with the elbow into the hip area in the downswing than a straight right arm well before impact?

The right arm unfolding will not only create clubhead speed, you will be able to roll the clubhead in the downswing quicker. If you hold the right arm into your side the clubhead will not release.
