    Exclamation Not A Good Divot!

Hi, my name is Jason, and I'm tryin to learn the game of golf. I'm such a beginner that I'm a rookie beginner (ha ha)... truthfully, I have yet to go on a course. I'm practicing (with my father) learning the swing and what not. My dad is a weekend warrior, so he's got experience. He says that my biggest problem is consistancy, or lack there of.... When I'm using my irons, I am being taught that the spot I strike the ground (or skim the ground?) should be infront of the ball. I keep skimming the ground before I hit the ball.... heck my dad's surprised my wrists aren't broken yet. Is there any advice you can give me to help correct this problem?

The next time you go to the practice facility, make sure you stand one or two inches taller at address. #2 STAY that height during the ENTIRE swing. Let me know if this helped.
