    Default impact on ball

my dad and i started playing golf at the same time, we had only 1 bag of clubs. i was only 12 at that time. the problem was he would always take the 3 wood 5 wood and i was stuck with the irons . ha ha ha. well a nice old man told me that in order to hit the ball properly i was supposed to hit down on the ball, not to try to pick the ball up with it. well it worked i guess because i could out drive my dad with a driving iron . my question is is this a proper way to tell someone who asks me where i get my distance . i don't know how to ansewer his question

Some people run faster than others, some people jump higher that others and yes some people hit the ball further than others. Now, there are 100 reasons why you have success with hitting the irons. Hitting down may or may not be one of them.

When you are struggling, where do your misses go, hook, pushed, fat etc.??
