    Default "Fluffing" short pitch shots

    Bobby,

I'm a 2 handicap but chipping and pitching has been my achilles heel. Am making a dedicated effort this year to improve that aspect of my game, and your tips have really resonated with me.

One issue that I have from time to time is with a short pitch shot using a high lofted club, especially off a loose lie (may be sandy, pine straw, grass clippings, etc.) I will sometimes hit the shot what feels to be fat, and the ball goes nowhere. For whatever reason, I can't tell what I'm doing in these instances so i feel powerless to try and avoid it in the future.

    Any ideas? Thanks,

    Ed

This is a pretty dificult situation, here we go. You have to play the ball back in your stance, weight and handle on your left side. Finally, make sure you follow thru LOW LOW LOW....you are not going to hit a high soft one, but you will hit it solid.

Let me know is this helped
