how would the pro "pin point " the apex where you want your ball go thru that point.

I tend to lost track my point (some green is so perfect.., you can't find any bad spot to remember it) when I read my line from both side of hole and walk on the low side of path.
I over heard people mention about cup: 3 cup left of hole etc...
can you tell us your way. Thanks

    Lisa,
If I may ask, how long have you been playing golf? You ask a lot of the essential questions needed to become a good golfer.

    Hi Charles,
I live in Canada so I only have 5 'short months' to enjoy golf each year. This is my 3rd season. I am addicted to golf!
a question to you: if I use my 9 iron to chip at 8 o'clock position: I see it has 1 ground and 3 roll or for 7 iron it is 1 ground and 4 roll. Do you find the ratio is right or you always have the 1 ground and 2 roll as Bob has mentioned??

it is the ratio that I have been using for a long time, but that is not to say that Bobby's is wrong, I don't get the 1/3 air time and 2/3 roll, it has not worked for me. Hope that helps, I know what you mean about the short golf season I live in Michigan and ours is short too.
