    Default Wrist Hinge

    Hi Bobby,
The Simple Golf Swing System book refers to stiff wrists during the backswing and not cocking the wrist. Is there a hinging or lifting of the wrists at the top of the backswing? My mishits are pulls and/or pull hooks.
    Regards,
    Elden

the thing is that dave wrote that book mostly for high handicappers, and it's the right thing for high handicappers who want to improve quickly. But if you want to be very good at golf, you have to have to hinge the wrist somewhat. And david doesn't really say no wrist hinge. he just says that ametuer golfers shouldn't focus on wrist hinge, which is very true.

If you go left, really focus on keeping that right elbow locked to the side. let me know if it helps. it's hard to go left with that elbow locked.
