    Unhappy Set-up or Swing Problem?

    Bobby:
I recently purchased the book and was hoping I would golf more consistently and in control...no such luck. I had the worse game ever but I think I am trying too hard and getting overly frustrated. Now I have picked up a habit of rocking back on my heels during my swing and either topping or hitting the ground before the ball. Help! I really want to be able to enjoy golfing

Hello Susan: I know we can fix this. Are you rocking back and forth during the backswing? Do you know you are doing this or did someone tell you?

Are you doing this with you woods, irons or both?

Get back with me asap and I will spend as much time as it takes to get you going again.

    Take care.

Thank you for the quick response, I am told I am doing this during my backswing by the players I am with. It is both woods and irons.

I want you to listen to this closely. You are not topping the golf ball because you are rocking on your heels.

The next time out I want you to try something. After you address the golf ball, I want you to bend over at the HIPS an inch or two (could be three)...I want you to think about how tall you are after you bend over (then) I want you to concentrate on KEEPING that EXACT same posture during the entire swing.

    Get back with me asap.
