    Default Bunker Shots

    Dear Bobby,

What is the correct way to get the ball nicely out when the ball is sitting on a medium to steep sand bunker slope and when the ball is above my feet and the pin is on my left?

Also what if the ball is below my feet in a similar scenerio?

    Thanks.

First and foremost I apologize for not answering your question sooner.

When the ball is above your feet, it will go to the left in the bunker. Now, it is very difficult to hit an ABOVE YOUR FEET bunker shot AIMING left, it is better to aim straight and let it pull left. Make sure you sit back on your heels and make the same swing you would make with a flat lie.

When the ball is sitting BELOW YOUR FEET, you can aim it at the hole. Make sure you bend over more at the waist and stay there until the ball is out of the bunker.

Hope all is well and let me know if this helped.
