Bethpage has a couple courses - Black (where they held the US Open), Green, Red (which is the only one I've played), and Yellow. There are varying degrees of difficulty there (Black is the hardest obviously), but the whole park is very well kept. The Black plays REALLY hard, the Red and Green are similarly tough (I've heard) and the Yellow's the easier of the four. If you get the chance to play there, I'd take it. Definitely the nicest public course I've ever played on.
