    Thumbs up New Grip

    Bobby,

I recently taught myself a reverse overlap grip due to a deep cut on my left pointer finger. After healing for 2 weeks I found myself in pain after only 6 holes. Being the self taught, watch and learn, golfer that I am, I am delighted to report that this particular grip has done some tweeking to my game. I have stopped a tremendous pull that I somehow picked up and I can tell that this grip keeps me on single plane, beautifully. I did not know, however, what I was teaching myself. I simply tried what was needed to finish a round of golf. My husband is the one who labeled it, the reverse overlap. This grip also has slowed my swing down and lets my left hand lead . My grip is extremely weak compared to what I used in the past. Just wanted to hear your thoughts...

    Loving the links,

In the 60's and 70's there was a golf professional that taught junior golfers in the Atlanta area how to play switch handed.

Charlie Owens won a tour event switch handed.

If this is what keeps you going, go for it. I am jealous, I can not hit a truck switch handed. I even hur myself one day taking a swinging without a ball.

Stay with it and keep in touch.
