    Smile "please release me"

Hey Bobby... I have noticed from closely analyzing my swing on DVD, that the angle created from my left arm and club at parallel to the ground on my downswing(righty golfer here) is about the same or greater at times compared to when my left arm is parallel to the ground on my backswing... I still hit the ball fairly well, but i know i am losing some effortless power and distance ...

Also, on a face-on view of my swing, i have noticed that when my left arm is parallel to the ground on my downswing, you don't really see part of my right elbow below my left arm like i see with the tour pros...Are these 2 points related to an early release in the golf swing? Hope i am making some sense here...Need some probable causes and tips or drills here...Keep on the good work!

    Thanks Ron

Hi Bobby....when my left arm is parallel to the ground on my downswing, my right elbow is pointing somewhat down towards my back right pocket. You can't really see it from face-on, for it is parallel with my left arm but it is clearly visable from a down-line view and pointing there. At the top of the swing, it is pointing behind me and not straight to the ground. Hope these are the details you are looking for if not please let me know...

    Many Thanks
    Ron
