Default Buried Ball in Steep Bunker Wall

The other day I line-drived a ball into a par 3 bunker and the ball buried itself into the hole side of a high bunker wall with a short lipped over hang.

I tilted my shoulders to get even with the lie and hit just behind it, BUT all I could get the ball to do was to pop up into the lip then back down to the base of the wall. Three strokes later I was not a happy camper.

So, the question is how to you get a ball to jump up and out of that kind of terrible lie?

    Thanks!

You leaned the wrong way. You have to lean LEFT on a buried lie and chop the downswing.
