    Thumbs up swing plane

    hi bobby

    i am trying to get on right swing plane on downswing can you give any tips to do this i play of 9 my iron play is weak

    Your question is very open. How do you know you are not on the right swing plane?

    because when i stop at top and flaten club and come down i get a good hit and when do normal swing i dont get the same hit

    When you misshit your 9 iron can you tell me what the ball does, hook, pull, thin, fat etc.

    #1 make sure you can see two or three knuckles of the left hand at address
    #2 straighten out the right arm in the downswing EARLY
    #3 roll the right hand over the left during the downswing.

    May I add, make sure you are not squezing the grip too hard (or hard at all). A lot of grip pressure will prevent the clubface from turning over. Like Bobby indicates in all he's DVD's: "grip the club like you are holding a baby's hand".
