    Default 30-50 Yard Pitch

My course has fairways thgat are cut very low so there is no grass under the ball to let it sit up at all - because I'm afraid I'm not going to get the ball air born i tend to hit down on the ball and it stays much to low and is hard to control.
How do you hit this shot/ Do you let bounce of the snad wedge lift the ball? If so, where do you hit the ball?

shark48 you my friend are in trouble. I live in the desert and it is very hard to not only get the ball in the air, it is also very difficult to get the height you need.

If you hit down on it with too steep of an angle you will hit it lower. You have to be steep but not too steep. You can not hit it with a shallow angle.

If you hit with a shallow angle there is no room for error. Do not play it back in your stance, it will come off too low.

Weigth left, handle left and swing steep, FOLLOW THROUGH LOW.

    Default 30-50 Yard Wdge Shot?

Do you take a divot with this shot? Is it better to use a pitching wedge instead of a sand wedge? if you recommend a sand wedge are you hitting the ball with the leading egde or letting the bounce do the work?
    Thanks.

You have to hit with the leading edge and you can take a divot if the ground is soft enough.

If the ground is soft enough you should use a sand wedge.

Default 20-50 Yard Pitch - Different Club Better?

I think I'm hitting this shot fat because I'm coming in too steep with the leading edge of my sand wedge - would it be better for me to use a pitching wedge with a shorter swing?
Maybe the leading edge of this club will be more forgiving???
