Why don't you close the clubface one or two degrees and see if it still does the same thing?
Let me know how it goes.

Sometimes my sandwedge (56*) seems to go completely under the ball in the sand resulting in the ball barely popping up and going hardly anywhere (this same kind of thing has happened when I've teed up too high). Sometimes it goes just inches, and sometimes it clears the bunker...but barely. I'm trying to hit a layer of sand before the ball, but obviously I'm going too deep. I try to set up with my weight 70% on my left side and take a full golf swing. Maybe you can think of something I may be doing wrong? Please help. Thanks!

I finally figured it out! After watching your Bunker DVD (too bad this game makes you have to remember so many different things...part of the fun of it, though), I found what I hadn't been doing enough of, and that was turning my belt buckle to face the target at the finish. It felt like I was doing that, but I wasn't. I have to feel like I'm really turing at the end to get that ball to have some oomph. I've also tried more of a closed face as you suggested for the further targets and opening it for the shorter ones. So far, so good. Maybe I'll get it all down pat right before the season ends so I can forget it all by next year. Which brings me to the best tip: take notes and keep them for layoffs. Thanks, Bobby!
