Smile Straighting my right arm properly

I hit the ball straight most of the time but short. I analyzed this and found I am breaking my wrist in trying to start with straighting my arm. I seem to be able to hold my wrist cocked only by pulling down with my leading arm. Can you suggest a solution? I badly need more distance. I am usually about 20 yards behind the guys I play with.
SINCE I SENT THIS, COMMON SENSE KICKED IN AND I AM NOW GRABBING A CLUB AND STRAIGHTING MY ARM THE CORRECT WAY MANY MANY TIMES A DAY UNTIL I OVERCOME THE OLD BAD HABIT. I USED THE MORE CORRECT WAY ON THE COURSE YESTERDAY AND GAINED ABOUT 20+ YARDS.
