Default Troube Hitting Long Irons

I tend to quicken my swing and pull/hook my irons left (4, 5, 6)
I guess I feel I need to swing harder to get the ball airborne.
I think the ball for the 4, 5 iron should be off the left heel - should my hands be ahead of the ball? Should I hit down on the ball or have more of a sweepiing motion.
Thanks.
Richard

The 4, 5 and 6 should not be that far forward in your stance. Your hands should be almost straight up and down, not in front of the clubhead.

See if this stops the pulling.
